Cultivation mode : Lotus Culture Box with vase
Sowing the Lotus seeds in a vase: Immerse the Lotus seeds in the vase filled with rainwater (or filtered water) with the glass beads.
Germination of Lotus seeds: Expose the vase to sunlight behind a glass window, without putting on top of a heater. Lotus seeds can take up to a week to germinate. The plant then grows normally in clear, unchlorinated water.
Planting lotus plants: When the seedlings reach 10 to 15 cm in length, replant one plant per pot of 10/15 cm diameter and immerse them in a basin, taking care that the pot does not fall. Be careful to be delicate, not to break the stems or roots when transplanting.
Flowering: The lotus blooms in a shallow basin, with clear and renewed water, with a bloom from April to September.
To know: The Lotus or Nymphéa was the favorite flower of Claude Monet who dedicated a water garden in Giverny to this flower, as well as many impressionist paintings.
