Cultivation method: 6 cm black pot - Purple clover

Fertilized soil: To promote successful germination, start by soaking the fertilized coconut lozenges in 5 to 6 times their volume of water: they will instantly swell. Unlayer them and fill the pot with a spoon. Remember to keep a small part to cover the seeds after sowing.

Planting of the purple clover bulbs inside: Plant the bulbs in the center of the pot pointing upwards. Gently cover the bulbs with fertilized coconut soil, letting the tip come out.

Clover watering: Ideally use rainwater or filtered water (without chlorine). Prefer a fine rain watering, ideally using a hand spray, to keep the soil just wet, without gorging it with water, throughout the culture. Imagine the soil that has to stay like a wet sponge and then be drained. Do not let the coconut land dry.

Germination of clover bulbs: grow in a cool room, without putting behind a glass or over a heater because otherwise your clover will only grow in a stem. Clover germination occurs after 2 to 3 days.

Transplanting: no need to transplant, the crop is done in direct seeding/planting. If necessary, aerate by removing a few plants if your seedling is too dense.

Flowering: The purple clover grows in 3 to 4 weeks and gives pretty little pink flowers. The stems are 15 to 20 cm and you will have a nice brew after a few months. Outside, in winter, the leaves disappear but are reborn in spring.

Our advice: Do not place the clover near a source of heat, at the risk of emerging large petioles without end. Also think of planting dense, the bulbs pressed against each other to make beautiful compositions provided. In the garden, you can keep a beautiful purple brassée for several years.
